The metallurgical result of EMS for slab casting depends on amount of electromagnetic thrust, and thrust relies on the performance of EMS for slabs. At the present, there are three types of EMS used for slab casting, i.e. double-side traveling wave magnet field EMS, single-side traveling wave magnet field EMS and roller type traveling wave magnet field EMS.
